Raised in Holliston, Massachusetts, in a Trinidadian American home, Alexis began her career with an impactful role at Thomson Financial (now Reuters). Soon after, Alexis brought her core aspirations into focus as she returned to her alma mater, Northeastern University, beginning her career in higher education development as the inaugural Alumni Center manager in the Office of Institutional Advancement. In that role, Alexis was responsible for building an effective operating plan for the Alumni Center, while managing the engagement of key benefactors and completion of the new state-of-the art facility and programmatic design.
